My family and I are deeply considering moving to NC. We live in Ft. Lauderdale, FL We need a change I am not sure which areas to concentrate on, Raleigh, Druham, Cary OR Greensboro, Winston-Salem?
The deciding factor will be where I can get a decent job. My field is Social Work and my husband is a truck driver. We have 2 daughters ages 2 and 15.
School districts, close to shopping, and a safe, quiet, decent neighborhood where we can rent a house is very important Need some advice...plez help.

Thanxs

I'm sure that you can find everything that you listed in all of the cities that you are considering. The best advice that I can give is to take a few trips up here, spend a weekend in each city to get a feel for it, and then decide from there.

My wife and I were considering Asheville, Raleigh/Durham/Cary, Winston-Salem, and Charlotte. After visiting, we decided on Raleigh/Durham/Cary because of the job base in my field (high-tech SW) and my wife's (Health Care).

Once we got here, we wanted to live in Cary, but had a hard time getting the house we wanted on our budget, so we ended up buying in far south Raleigh. We are a 20 minute drive to Raleigh, 20 minute drive to Cary, and a 40 minute drive to Durham.

Seems to me that you'll need to work out the details of WHERE you'll be working before any recommendations can be made. FWIW, there are a lot of trucking companies based in the Greensboro/Winston-Salem (Triad) area.

Based on the questions presented, this info should answer them:

morrisville, nc - Google Maps

Morrisville, North Carolina (NC) Detailed Profile - relocation, real estate, travel, jobs, hospitals, schools, crime, news, sex offenders

For lele07, I think any of those cities will be an improvement for you. Research your jobs and make some visits since I think you'll be able to find what you're looking for in any of those choices.
