NC is great! I put this thread in other cities, but the NC folks have been the most helpful. That alone gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling about life in the Carolinas.
now y'all just ask whenever you need info shugah and there will always be someone in here to help you (still working on my southern drawl and accent). Raleigh has a beltway circling it and another one out further which is still in construction progress in many areas, while some other parts are driveable. Raleigh is a great little city and you will make friends there too.

Just start mainlining our sweet tea as soon as you arrive and you too will be full of southern hospitality in no time at all

Raleigh and Charlotte are your best bets for the most employment opportunities, but do check Wilmington out just in case. In the case of Raleigh you could look to live on it's more southern/eastern edges to give you that head start to the beach on weekends or days off
