Well, to be technically accurate, the news story that was linked to the altered headline was the actual news story, but the headline and photo were altered.
I especially liked the part where the spokesperson from Facebook said what Phil Berger's page had done was in violation of their policy and Berger's spokesperson comes back and says well, that's their interpretation of their policy.
Uh, yeah. It is. Their policy. You violated it. Yep.
From the N&O article:
Quote:
'“I can confirm that Sen. Berger has violated Facebook policy,” Facebook spokesman Andy Stone said this week, pointing to the site’s terms of use that dictate users “will not use Facebook to do anything unlawful, misleading, malicious, or discriminatory.”
Berger spokeswoman Amy Auth issued a statement Thursday criticizing Facebook’s interpretation of its policy.'
Totally agree with you 100%! I will be glad when people in this state will finally wake up and get a clue and finally vote him and the rest of the right-wing idiots out of office, it's time we take our state back from these clowns!
Less than 8 months....less than 8 months......get here already November!
My hope is that people will get off their asses and vote in this special election, I know I will! If you've been disgusted with HB2, their attempt at voter suppression, and everything else they have done, then do something about it and participate in this special election, you have a chance to to send a message to Berger and company by sending them packing their bags and sending them back home to their podunk hometowns!
Yeah, I'd like to see Phil Berger working at Burger King! What they pay for a newbie employee is about what he's worth! But the Koch Brothers, Art Pope and the Franklin Graham Cracker Holy Rollers will supply the bucks and the low-information voters to keep him in office!
I doubt if he'll be uncontested next time. Especially when the districts aren't gerrymandered anymore.
