I hope someone can help me regarding this as I'm very upset and confused. I moved into a new apartment a month ago. I signed the lease on an apartment with the following amenities listed; hardwood floors, wooded view, top floor. I had all of these until about a week ago. The wooded view has been knocked down completely. I emailed the property to see what was going on and express my distress and was informed that a local apartment complex was expanding to that area and there would be construction going on for the next 13-18 months. My lease is 14 months. As I was promised a wooded view as a part of the amenities listed for this apartment, do I have the grounds to terminate my lease? The construction is M-F 7AM - 6PM...I frequently work from home and was definitely not expecting to live in a loud and noisy construction zone. I have expressed these concerns to the property manager and he hasn't responded yet. Has anyone been in a similar situation or know what my rights could be? I can't live in this environment.

Does the lease agreement you signed explicitly say you are guaranteed a wooded view? Are there any trees still there?

Nope. No exit for that. Your apartment complex has no control of what another property owner does with their land.
