Hello, fellow North Carolinians! I just want to know how long it took any of you to receive your replacement social security card in the mail. I just applied for mine and got a printout\receipt for now from the office. I know the website says 7-10 days, but have any of you gotten it way before or after that time?

Agreed! I hope mine will come by Monday. I wonder if the advent of requesting a replacement online has made it generally longer.

I just got my social security card today! It was processed on Monday and I just got it today on Friday. That was much quicker than I thought. I ran to the DMV to get an ID, and I wrote on the E-pad with an ink pen twice! I felt like such an idiot...

But anyways I eventually got my ID, but it will be mailed in 5 to 10 days. So for those wondering if you get the ID card on the spot, not in NC. They print you out a temporary ID paper with your black and white photo. That about concludes my story. I just turned 18 and needed the ID for a job.
