BofA Tower making a impact on the CLT skyline. Almost time for the big pyramid to go up.
I thought LU had to reach 540ft before we see the 116ft pyramid. As of yesterday, LU appeared to be the same height as Museum apartment tower (450ft or so). We've probably got another 90ft of floors before we see the pyramid. At least that was the impression I was under.

Last year, county government approved $65 million to replace the existing Main Library on Tryon Street, including $11 million for a storage and support services project and $3 million for temporary space to be used during construction.
It’s part of a two-block overhaul expected to include housing, offices, a hotel, restaurants and stores along with the new library. One of five firms will be chosen as the master developer for the project by a stakeholder group that includes the library.
Seems awfully quiet lately in all the major NC markets. Is this the end of the cycle or calm before the big rumored announcements?
There's been a little bit of a lull lately, but the rumor mill is saying that Duke Energy is planning to announce a new skyscraper later this year in Charlotte.
Also, the Tryon Place project at Tryon and Stonewall in Charlotte is likely going to grow an additional two stories at minimum. No updated renderings yet, but the office space has reportedly grown from ~632k sq ft to ~788k sq ft. Still needs final approval, but the tower is already 85% leased and hasn't even gone vertical yet.
The biggest building project at the present is at the airport. It is under going a 2.5 Billion$ upgrade with new gates, runway and a new Ticket area and new front road way in front and parking deck with new rent a car location.

I think the 4th runway project is the most important development project in NC. Once constructed NC is open to business for Asian companies. Unfortunately, its scheduled completion is 2022 (government time).
I remember an event when Roberts was speaking about her delegation's travels to China to pitch Charlotte. They were perplexed that she would come without the ability to open a runway within a year. She was perplexed that they would expect functional government.
