Hi everyone! Normally I answer a lot of threads rarely ever do I start one but here goes. Who else is suffering (and I mean suffering!) from allergies at the moment? And do you think that this year is the worst? My husband (who is really in h*ll at the moment) is doped to the point of oblivion and still can't get any relief. He takes flonase and allegra daily along with a plethera of occ meds such as benadryl, actifed and claritin and still he suffers. I myself have noticed the itchy eyes and sniffles, even the dog seems to be having more problems this year. I've lived in this area of NC pretty much my whole life and never has it seemed as bad as this year. Any suggestions?
Odd...the weather report today said that all major allergens are still pretty much in the "Low" category right now. And I see you're in western NC, where spring usually blooms a little later than it does where I'm at....so they should be even lower there, right?
If you're having trouble now, I really hate to see how you'll do in April and May!
Perhaps there is something else than the plant-induced allergies that's affecting you? Dust? Mold? You might need to see an allergist.
I have suffered from bronchial issues for years. Finally went to an allergist about 8 years ago. I took allergy shots for almost a year then stopped. Since the shots my issues have greatly diminished. About 3 years ago I started taking Cingulair and have not had many problems since!

No sneezing or sniffling here in Charlotte yet The air actually smells and feels pretty clean right now. We usually start having problems in my house in April sometime.
not yet....give it another month. I can't imagine how you will make it through april and may if you are already feeling allergic now. Pollen covers everything, and I mean EVERYTHING with a thick yellow coat around here durring spring.

Yorshirelass,
Sorry to hear about your husband. I have normally suffered in the spring. My husband however has had them in the winter months. I just think it depends on what your allergies are. We both have had great luck with Cingulair. Good luck to you, always enjoy your posts, hate to think of your family suffering.
