Has anyone made the trip from Charlotte to Wilmington? I thought it was 3 hrs and I just mapped it and it says over 5 hours. If that is true my husband is gonna kill me if it is.

Thanks for your responses. I wonder why it said over 5 hours when I mapped it. It's still not 3 hours oh well I'll just pretend I didn't know. LOL

try mapquest, sometimes they give a slightly different direction and it cuts down the time, i always run both.and compare...if you belong to AAA, they too will help you map out a route.

Rand McNally - 4 hours 40 minutes
Yahoo - 5 hours 10 minutes
Google - 5 hours 10 minutes
Mapquest - 4 hours 3 minutes
Microsoft - 3 hours 57 minutes

The length of that trip can vary greatly. It all comes down to the traffic on the east side of Charlotte on 74. When you drive through Matthews and Monroe, it slows you down due to all of the stop lights and traffic there, and depending on what time of day you leave can make a big difference.

Are you on such a tight timeline that you have to hurry? Put the idea out that this will be a way of getting to know your new home state better
