Know a good Bis/Man house-keeper? (Bismarck, Center: living, shop, title)

Hi all!

I have spent all morning trying to find house-keeping/cleaing services in your area for one of my family members..to no avail.
It seems all the pro services in your area just do general cleaning in the homes but will not help with dishes and/or laundry. What is THAT all about?!
Does anyone know of a dependable, honest, hardworking private in home cleaner? It appears this is the only way to find someone willing to help with dishes and laundry as well as general cleaning.
Thanks much for your thoughts or ideas. I have pretty much googled every word combo I could come up with as well as checked Craigslist and local classifieds! Look forward to your ideas!

My daughter does that sort of thing down in Colorado. She is listed as a "Caretaker". They have different degrees of Caretakers from basics, to full RN's.

Well she has someone now helping her out..not sure the exact title but she does things like dusts around rather than under and really doesn't get the job does for the money she charges. Just looking for someone who actually puts their heart into their work.
I spoke with "Maid to Perfection" and they stated it would "cost them too much $ to stand around doing dishes and laundry". Whatever.

I'm sorry, I don't know of anyone. However, Bismarck has an online classified ads site that you might try. I did a quick search there for both 'maid' and 'housekeeper' and found Sunny Maids, Green Maid, and the Happy Housekeeper along with lots of help wanted ads for housekeepers. You could try placing a free 'housekeeper wanted' ad. BisManOnline - Free Classifieds

I looked in the yellow pages under 'home health services' and found several ads, including Spectrum Home care (homemaker, meal prep) (701) 355-0603 and Visiting Angels - nonmedical living assistance - meal preparation, errands, shopping (701) 250-1800.

Good luck. I know how difficult helping a relative in a distant state can be.

Thanks for taking the time to provide those great suggestions. I didn't know if those types of people/places will also do the cleaning related stuff as well. Guess I'll find out when I call them tomorrow. Again, thank you for taking the time out of your day to help me out. It is so difficult to figure this stuff out from far away...Ive just decide one thing: I'm never going to get old.

You're welcome. A few years ago my sister in Texas and I (in California at the time) went through this with our mother who was living alone in Montana, so I know how difficult it is.

One other thought. People at the Bismarck Senior Center might know of someone.
