IT experience in the oilfield (Fargo: home, oil, campus)

I have over 12 years of IT experience and am looking at heading over to North Dakota. Does anyone have any advice on what types of jobs I should be looking for? or any specific companies I should apply to?

I would think that as technology continues to evolve in the oil industry, IT experience could become beneficial.

Any and all information would be appreciated.

If you are dead set on working the oil field try for an E-tech or electronics tech position for any of the fracking companys. Heavy IT experiance required.
