Hello all!
I'm a college student, age 19 male, going to Bismarck on Monday (leaving by Greyhound bus) and arriving on Wednesday. I'm going on a spiritual journey and am only bringing my framepack, tent, and a sleeping bag with me and staying in General Sibley park. My bus arrives on August 8th early in the morning and I have an odd request. You see, to get around I don't have alot of money and want to see as much of the city and talk to as many people as I can.

My question? I was wondering if someone in Bismarck would lend me a bicycle to use from August 8th until August 13th while I'm here. I know this is strange, and requires alot of trust. But I promise nothing will happen to the bike and I'm a quiet, peaceful kid just trying to enjoy somewhere new. I'm from Philadelphia and have never been out of Pennsylvania. I could even pay some cash to borrow it for awhile and I'd forever be grateful to the kind soul willing to help out another person.

Thank you all,
Brandon Stevenson.

Sorry no bike. I'm working up in the oil patch during the week, can offer a ride on the weekend.

I'm nowhere near North Dakota. (Just ended up on this forum to do some research as I'm considering a grad program at UND). But if no one is willing to help, you may want to offer leaving something of value as collateral (or a refundable cash deposit), which you will retrieve when you return the bike. If it were me, I'd just lend it to you because I'm not really that into material things. I kinda feel like if you don't return it, it's not the end of the world. But that's just me.

Good luck to you.

I don't know about the Salvation Army there, by where I live they have a second hand store. Them and the Elks club have teamed up and will give you a bicycle free if you are homeless so that you have some sort of transportation. But then again, they have 10 speed bikes in pretty good shape for $20-30.

Did you make it? Sorry, did not catch this until now or I'd found something for you, but with a recommendation to go north towards Turtle mountains, nice natural farm up that way also
Bismarck won5t kick up anyones heels much on the spiritual adventure side,
