My husband and I went to look at Fawn Lake. It is a very beautiful community. The thing we didn't care for was the turkey bounds. Everything else was terrific! Did you look into Masthope?

Here is the actual Fawn Lake Forest OFFICIAL website, not a real estate agent website (which I did not think were allowed to be posted on here):

http://fawnlakeforest.org/

Fawn Lake now has a beautiful brand new outdoor swimming pool - it is very very nice. The community is pretty quiet. Most of the lots are half acre or so. The roads are well cared for. The indoor pool was closed recently for some kind of repairs necessary; I do not know the status of the indoor pool at this time. There is also a pretty nice clubhouse.

There is central water, but individual septic systems. There are two lakes that are part of the community: Fawn Lake, which is a non-motorboating lake, and Westcolang, which allows powerboats and jet skis.

It's about 20 minutes or so from downtown Hawley and is in the Wallenpaupack school district. It's only a few minutes away from Masthope, which makes it handy for folks who want to be near skiing.

Think she means Turkey MOUNDS (septic mounds) It is a building code set by the township. Not because of Fawn Lake.
