These weren't the responses that I was expecting. First of all, he's not on welfare. Second of all, he was in a serious car accident and is totally disabled. The reason I asked for a pool is b/c it helps with his ongoing physical therapy. People want to jump the gun before they even know the circumstances.

Anyhow, if anybody has any other suggestions, that would be appreciated.

Did I see that coming? Yes, I did. I wondered how long it was going to take for the OP to come back with a qualifier as to why her BIL needs Sec. 8 housing.

When you leave out pertinent information, it is tantamount to trolling. And the OP knew it would stir the pot.

Go ahead, TBT, do your stuff.

I'll draw the line in the sand here. Any remarks after this post about Section 8 people, welfare, etc. will be considered off topic.

Beckycat, I hope your BIL finds what he needs. Sounds like he's been through quite a bit already.

I appreciate it. He is meeting somebody next weekend about a place in the Escape. For all of you who don't know what the Escape is, it is a mobile home park. Nothing fancy at all, although it has a pool which will be good for him.

Any other suggestions are welcome.
