I was in two indie films that shot in Scranton and Dunmore. One "premiered" in Scranton but never went anywhere, and the other one is five years in "editing".

At least I know I didn't end up on the cutting room floor. LOL

This movie has received accolades across the board. Why *some* people feel the need to take a proverbial **** on other people's positive posts and WHY IT'S ALLOWED is beyond me.

You guys forget the "Championship Season" filmed right in Scranton.....It was so huge that everyone forgot it...
There are a ton of good, no great, movies that people forget about or have never heard of. Are you asserting the worth of an artistic piece is validated by the general population's widespread approval of said piece? Really?

I could go into go-cart results, but that is even more obscure then the indie films and demo derby together...LOL

Many movies have received accolades across the board, but I guess what really determines whether or not a movie is a success is whether or not the public likes it and not the critics. Since the public are the ones that pay to see it or not....

I bet I know where that coffee shop is. It is a silver diner on Moosic street right at the bottom of the grade from the Harrison ave bridge. My buddies and I used to stop there to sober up. We affectionately called it "The choke and puke". You choked the burgers down and then you puked them up outside.

It was a scream.

Do any of these Artsy Farsty Indie Movies filmed in NEPA have French sub-titles?

I always wanted to see how "HEYNA or No" was spelled in French....

btw - I saw the True Grit Movie yesterday..

2 thumbs up - Jeff Bridges did a great job, so did Matt Damen. That young girl was outstanding - I hear she may be nominated for best supporting actress in the Oscar race.

Best part was that it was only 1.5 hrs long, and we attended the afternoon matinee without the crowds.

I got my fill of the movie theaters till 2020...
