I've been to Ritter's, its very very small, does not compare at all to Roba's or Miller's. But its worth a stop if you want to pick something up in their market, there is a play area and small corn maze for kids. Definitely more affordable than the others.

It's in the southern Poconos, but my kids love Mazezilla so much:

Friends of mine in Carbon County go here and seem to enjoy it (I want to try the "Christmas Tree Maze":

Here's a site I just ran across for pick-your-own farms. It doesn't have any listed for Luzerne & Lackawanna counties though.

Where in Eastern Pennsylvania to find pick your own farms and orchards for fruit, vegetables, pumpkins and canning & freezing instructions!

I was just at MaineSource in Kingston, and they have about 4 huge watermelon bins full of apples for 79 cents a pound, which look local. McIntosh, Cortland and others. Also 10 lb bags of red beets from Canada for $3.99

I asked the clerk if they were going to get any Concord grapes in, she said maybe next week. Those are a favorite of mine, but I haven't ran across any yet. Has anyone seen these for sale anywhere in food stores or perhaps the farmer's market?

Well I was just at Miller's for the first time in a couple of years, and the place went way downhill. Its overgrown, not being kept up at all, and they don't have the attractions that they used to. It used to be comparable to Roba's, but not anymore.
