I know of the Ice Box in Scranton, and I know of the lakes in the area, but are there any other rinks in the Wallenpaupack area? It's time to teach my oldest boy to skate, get him ready for some hockey

The Hideout builds their own ice skating rink every year, it is the only one I know of besides The Ice Box.

Shawnee Inn has a skating rink, but still not terribly close to Wallenpaupack.

any roller rinks other than the one previously mentioned, I think, out near/in Scranton? I really miss roller skating and I think my daughter would love to learn.

Quick Question: Does Lake Wallenpaupack have any skating during the winter months?

They used to have an NHL sized rink at the Lackawanna Stadium, which is now PNC Field. I don't know if it's still there though.

That is really cool. I grew up skating on lakes and indoor rinks, but the best place I ever ice skated is Rockefellar Center, nothing like it! I hear the lake has much going on during the winter months, good to hear!! Thanks poconomama
