I would just like to take a moment to recognize the spirit of community shown in the Pocono Lake area last night.

A few weeks ago, a young mother died at age 29 of a massive heart attack. She left behind her loving husband, and two young children. Her husband works for Arrowhead Lakes Security, and in response to one of their own in need, the association changed their scheduled Cinco De Mayo celebration into a Celebration of Life Benefit to aid the family.

Many Pocono Lake business stepped up to the plate to make the event that much more successful, by donating services and products for raffle.

So...THANK YOU...to the following Pocono Lake Businesses:

Salon Solutions Flowers 4 U You're The Builder

Chop Shop Dominic's Pizza L&D Tool Rental

Fantasia Tanning Signs & Graphics Pinewood Deli

Matirko's Stout's Enterprises Dave's Construction

Dave & Darlene Distributors Christian Container Service

Arrowhead Lakes Community Association

A major heart attack at only 29 years old? Was there a preexisting condition that caused this? Even extreme obesity wouldn't generally cause that at such an early age.

I'm glad the community rallied around the family, they will need the continued support.

That is a beautiful story of how the community helped this family.
I don't know the circumstances but having a family member who had a heart attack at 38 ( in the genes) that was suspose to be a "flu" .......
I can understand how something can happen at an early age. So sad to hear...........

Our prayers go out to this family!!! It is heartwarming to see the response to this. I have to tell you folks that this is how WLE is - they come in to help like the army - it is a family not a community much the way this place is. I like to hear great stories like this!!!!
