Creekside Gardens are way too expensive
I had mentioned a few weeks ago about Creekside Gardens in Tunkhannock. They are too expensive!!! I ended up bringing back the sand cherry I bought there and purchase 5 other shrubs at a family run nursery for the price of that one shrub from Creekside.
Also, Kettel's greenhouses on Route 92 in Falls is amazing!!!!! I have never seen so many flowers in one place and the pricing is great

I can't wait! People from NJ were there shopping too. Creekside's got to be kidding me with those prices. Even the hotsy-totsy people should know better

Has anyone shopped at Rave's in Dallas? I've always wanted to scope that place out. That's the company that did all of the beautiful backyard landscaping for WNEP. I've heard that they are very overpriced as well, but can anyone confirm that? There are two places in Forty Fort---Penn State Seed and Edward's Garden Center---that I've also wanted to try out as a change of pace from Lowe's.

I have shopped at Raves in Dallas and Penn State Seed and Edwards...
I have 2 1/2 acres almost totally landscaped. A trip to Kettels is well worth
the trip. Local hard working Falls family w/green thumb
Let me know when your in the area - stop in -- I'll bake a cake

Rave's seems to cater to people that have big bucks to spend. They wouldn't come out and plant 10 to 15 Green Giant Arborviatea shrubs at my home because the job was too small... hmm

Well no offense but I'd probably consider doing that myself if I were you as a bonding experience for you and DH. I'm assuming the arborvitae that you purchased, if they're anything like the ones sold here at Lowe's, are potted and in the 6'-8' range, so it would only involve a few hours of digging, primping, and watering to have a very nice natural border fence.

But... Walmart is the only store I know of that guarantees the tree if you plant it. Most
garden centers only guarantee if they do the planting.

Afterthought: Walmart will refund your money up to one year after
purchase of the trees with only the receipt, if the tree dies.

Lowe's has this guarantee for one year as well.
