Default The French Manor

I had dinner this week at The French Manor in South Sterling. I have to say, it was one of the nicest dining experiences I have ever had, and I have been to many great restaurants. It's nice to know that an establishment like this exists in NEPA.

From Scranton, take I84 East to Exit 17 (South), Rt. 191. It's about 3 miles south.

It is a beautiful place with very nice food. The owners are very nice down to earth people who care about their customers. It is also a fabulous place for a wedding. They also have beautiful rooms to stay in.

The French Manor is always a favorite. The food is excellent and you get a nice group there. I did not know they were going to open up a spa. It is not really for kids, so we head up when we have arrangements made.

Another great place is The Lookout House up near Hazleton. It overlooks the Conyngham Valley and has great food and awesome prices.

I understand they were owned by the same family and their other Place was the Sterling Inn.
Someone recently told me that they were sold to other owners and their stay at the Sterling
Inn was not as good as in the past.....However the French Manor was always a step above the ordinary. A gorgeous place for a special occasion, definitely for adults. Nice to hear they
are still in business.
