They run on electricity, so I don't know how much it will help your electric bill.
There's a thread on here from about a month ago with some reviews. We have one & it makes our electric higher, although no more than the pool pump in the summer, but our gas bill much lower.

I love my EdenPure heater...great for these days with cool mornings, but not freezing cold, don't have to use as much gas to heat the entire house, just use the EdenPure to heat the downstairs. My electric bill only went up 10 bucks using the EdenPure.

You save money with one of them by using it in one room and turning the thermostats down in other rooms. They are no less costly than any other electric heat. e.g if you have electric heat now you're not going to save anything unless you turn the thermostat down. Electric is about the most expensive type of heat you can use per BTU so if you have natural gas from the street which is actually quite low now savings would be negligible and you'd just have colder house.

As they say with electric heat... 1000 watts is 1000 watts. So if you use electric now, it isn't going to save you anything. If you use something else and want to use this as secondary, then maybe you would save something depending on what you use.

I am sitting here at work. The gas heat is turned way down and the owners brought in the edenpure heater. I am FREEZING even with the darn thing 5 feet away from me. I have a blanket on at my desk. I raised the temp on it and I am still cold. It's not like having the whole house warmed by regular heat and it's not even freezing out yet!

If you own the house look at coal, simply nothing cheaper.

Default Coalman

I just had my wood burning stove hooked back up and a new flue put in and I asked about coal and the man was shocked I even brought it up. I thought coal pollutes the air or can you tell me why I should move back to coal... I need to be educated. Thanks

I am suprised to see bags of coal sitting at the side of peoples houses, it kind of remided me of Ireland in the 60's.

Thanks
