My husband claimed to not like any fruits or vegetables when I met him. Then I took him to my parents' home in So Cal, and we picked the fruit off the branches and ate it while sitting in the trees. All of a sudden, he understood, and no longer says he doesn't like 'em!

There are great pick-your-own peaches and berries and apples here if you're willing to drive west for an hour or two. If you're trying to encourage yourself to eat more fruit, might as well get good stuff!

I find the prices at Giant to be crazy high! A 6 pack of applesauce cups (store brand, at that) was $2.14 on sale. The REGULAR price at Target is $1.37. Tiny example but still.... I plan to explore Wegmans next.

Depends on where you go. Giant can be $3.79. However, Wegmen's and Aldi carry it for ~$2:39.

I'll keep that in mind. Thanks a lot!

I get my diapers and wipes at Costco. The Kirkland brand is fine, but occasionally they'll have monthly coupons so that Huggies are cheaper than Kirkland. They do have formula there too, but I'm not sure what kinds. We're well past that stage but my kids used the Similac Sensitive and the only local places I could get it were Babies R Us, Walgreens, and Target - none of the grocery stores carried it. I used to order it in cases from Amazon.

BJ's has it around this price as well. ($2.32 for skim I think. A little more for the fatty kind.) Walmart is a little more than Wegman's and Aldi if I remember correctly.

It depends where you go in NJ (north or south) and what supermarket you go to. Overall though, I would say that prices are comparable from there to VA. The one advantage NJ has is that there is A LOT of locally-grown produce since there is some kind of ban on developing farmland. In addition, the Amish in nearby PA sell in NJ and not only do they sell their produce, they have outstanding (and affordable) meats, baked goods/pastries, eggs, etc. So the buys at the farmer's markets are fantastic.

That, and alot of people have gardens and grow their own tomatoes, peppers, corn, etc. in their yards.
