Would like to take my family out to a fun dinner, we have a 5 year old and 3 year old, with family in town. Looking for a last minute idea for a fun, very kid friendly place to go tonight. Live in NOVA, Fairfax County.

First thing to come to mind is Generous George's Positive Pizza - they have pasta and kid portions - or at least they used to - probably a menu online. Yep...here...http://www.generousgeorge.com/location.html (broken link)

We are going to Famous Dave's tonight. They have really cool family platters!

Funny thing, we did famous daves for lunch. Looking for a place more geared towards kids. Was hoping for something with perhaps some interaction for kids

Thirding Generous George! I used to go to their Alexandria location frequently before it closed--GREAT place to take kiddos. One night there was even a clown making balloon animals for the kids.

I was so sad when the original (Alexandria) GG closed, too; it was a really fun place (with fantastic pizza, to boot!).

Does anyone know why it closed? I've been wondering whenever I drive past it.

Maggiano's in Tysons? Or any of the Great American Restaurants (Sweetwater Tavern, Coastal Flats, Arties etc.).
