I am looking to join one when I move, particularly one where there is an abundance of single men, but I know nothing about the ones in that area. I was wondering if someone could tell me a bit what they are like and give me advice.

To which area are you moving? With the huge fees attached to the local country clubs, it really wouldn't make sense to live more than five miles away from the one you belong to.

To the OP:

I am not sure if NOVA is that country club oriented. My impression of CCs is that they are family oriented, and are located in the suburbs, which is generally the bastion of couples. If you want to meet single men, live closer-in to DC, and go to church, take a class, become a volunteer crew member at one of the marinas, or join an interest group such as the Pentagon Ski Club. Also, when you move here, you will meet friends who may know of eligible men to date.

How old are you? On a scale of 1 to 10 what is your attractiveness, please provide both DC and LA conversion numbers.

I'm not sure any country club is going to have an abundance of single men. It'll be an older crowd, and although some may be single(divorced probably), I doubt you'll find an abundance. In other words, if that's the only reason you're looking to join I'd consider other outlets for dating that would be much less expensive. Although a distant relative of mine is single(divorced) and a member of Westfield Country Club in Vienna, so maybe that one has what you want
