Hi,

Can you tell me what the option are for commuting from Ashburn to Crystal City are and what the estimated time would be?

Each time I have made that drive, it has taken close to an hour, regardless of whether I go rte 50 and beyond, or rte 66 to/from 110 (outside of the rush hours) and beyond. I would not recommend it.

There is Metro in Crystal City which may (small chance) be convenient to your workplace. Getting to Metro from Ashburn would still be a question...

Loudound County has a bus that to Crystal City.

bus service. either loudoun or drive to a fairfax-connector lot.
i used to drive to wheele ave lot and take the cheap bus (ffxconnector) direct to crysral city. the bus from wheele to Cc only took 20 mins on road. the long waits were standing @ Bus stop.

Are you working business hours or off hours? This will affect your commute time. If working around business hours, expect a 1 hour plus commute due to traffic. If you have the option of living closer, I would recommend it. A long commute can really make it hard living here

you can try the commuter connections website Commuter Bulletin Board=
people who are looking for carpool/vanpool riders normally post over there. That might help you out, or it might not, but it's worth a look.
