Hi, everyone. My wife and I are looking for someone to repair our sloping kitchen floor, but we don't know whom to call.

If you have used a general contractor, floor specialist, or foundation specialist and were happy with them, I'd sure appreciate knowing their name. It's OK if you're not sure they do this type of work; even if they don't, they might be able to recommend someone who does.

Any part of the region would be fine; most of them probably will travel a bit for business.

OK, thanks much!

Contact a structural engineer. They should have contacts/specialists in that area. Your realtor could probably recommend some people

We looked at several houses with sloping floors, some more sloped than others. In older homes, it was a given that many of them had sloped floors. Good luck with your project!

Thanks, SJS! That's a good suggestion. We'll look into that.

Total floors in Alexandria (Hardwood Flooring Northern Virginia, Va, Carpet and Flooring Store, Alexandria, Va – Total Floors Inc - Carpet coupon available, Commercial Carpet sales – Flooring sales – Hardwood floors dealer, plush, berber carpets, granite, Ceramic Tile, Laminate). A friend found them on Angie's list, and they get good reviews on yelp. I don't know if they do what you're looking for, but they're good honest people who will point you in the right direction.

Bren, thanks so much. I'll give them a call--perhaps after I talk to an engineer.
