This is my second go-round in NoVa...I was here once before for eight years. In that entire time, I never found a completely satisfactory person to cut my hair. Part of the problem might have been price point--I probably need to move up a notch or two.

I'm looking for a "CEO style" haircut. Those who know...will understand what I mean. I'm in my mid-50's. My hairline has receded, and my hair also has thinned out a bit...but I've got a lot left and still have VERY close to complete coverage. But the CEO style would be best for me right now.

Is it possible to get that in NoVa, or will I need to go somewhere in D.C.? And--can anyone recommend a specific place or stylist? Thanks...btw, I'm Caucasian with straight hair in case some of these people specialize in certain hair types...

CEO-style--like Trump? Hopefully not!

I'm surprised to hear you haven't had any luck with regular barbers. Honestly, all anyone notices is if the line on the back of your neck is straight and if the top blends in with the sides.

Whatever you do, don't try to cover the bald areas. It fools no one and looks ridiculous. (I'm thinning myself in the front.)

Good luck in your quest; may your coif be worthy of Jack Donaghey.

I'm not sure I know exactly what you're looking for, but you might try Diego's. Diego's is a DC institution and Diego D'Ambrosio has cut the hair of many of DC's power brokers for decades.

Lol @ "CEO Style". Are you a CEO?

You might want to try the grooming lounge

Diego's is around the corner from where I used to live. It's your typical inexpensive barber shop, it's just convenient and has been around forever. If you are looking to "step up to a higher price point," there are more fashionable places in Dupont. I don't think Diego's is worth a trip to the Circle, assuming you live in NoVA. But you just mean a "close cropped" haircut, right? Diego's or ANY barber shop should be fine for that.

Here in McLean, the equivalent to Diego's would be the Dominion Barber Shop. It's also been around forever and there are plenty of CEOs getting their hair cut there. If you live in the area or work in Tysons, it's worth a try.

Had to google what a CEO haircut is. Looks like a normal haircut to me.

Funny story - My dad is an attorney and had met with another corporate attorney of a large corporation; my dad loved his hair so he asked where he got it done.

The man responded that he'd done it himself with a Flowbee.
