The hardest part most days is apt to be getting to the Beltway. After that, the Inner Loop is a crapshoot (so is the Outer Loop, but I've just had worse luck on the Inner Loop, I guess), but once you hit 270, it should be more or less a breeze. I don't think you're going to be doing it in 26 minutes, but an 8:10/8:15 departure should get you up there by about 9:00.

Morning should be a breeze for you. Evening will be hit or miss. The outer loop of the beltway in Virginia in the evening can be hell some days. When it is 270 will be backed up trying to get to it. I keep telling myself it will get better once hot lanes construction winds down in a year but who knows.

I think this would be manageable especially when hot lanes are complete. Is this a worthwhile commute for good oportunity.?

Used to do this commute - Town of Vienna (near Magruder's) to Exit 6 off I-270 (Research Blvd). Took 35 to 40 minutes in the morning. About 50 minutes on the way home, but was often longer - closer to 1 hour and sometimes 1 hour 15 minutes. This was several years ago before the hot lanes construction. My distance was 18 miles door to door.
