I'm in the Brambleton area. Have approximately 4,000 SF of living space, of which 3,000 is really the main areas of the house that really get "lived" in. With two little kids in the house, I'm tired of cleaning up the house on what feels like every weekend. Any recommendations on cleaning services in the area? Any ideas on what is an average and fair price to pay, for say a once a month "scrub" of the house?

Thanks!

I pay $90/ per week for less than 2K SF (although I do have 4 shedding dogs). I believe most places charge an "upcharge" for longer lengths of time between cleanings, as more cleaning is required.

My house is just about 4000 SF including finished basement. We've used The Maids for about four years now, and we pay about $200 for a monthly cleaning. That factors in two small children and a cat. It's probably more than you'd pay for an independent cleaner, but I like that it's a four-person team with a lead (each visit is about 1.5 hours) and that all the business stuff (scheduling, payment) is handled through the Sterling office. They have a binder with a checklist, and their system is thorough. If you are unhappy with something they will come back and re-clean for free, but we've never had to use that guarantee. We've never had anything stolen or broken, or any other problems.
