Technically, we have one, but it doesn't work. I don't even know the number to it.

Yes, I have one. I still prefer to use it when I talk on the phone at home. The quality is SOOOO much better than any cell phone service I've ever had. However, I don't talk on the phone much anymore so, it's probably on it's way out. But at $35 per month, I can't complain too much.

We recently discoed our landline, porting that 20+year-old number to one of our cell phones. We also bought a link-2-cell home phone system from Costco that has 5 remote hand units with a central base station (for example: Costco phone system ). The cell phone that now has our old landline number connects to that base station (from a different floor) via Bluetooth. As such, incoming calls to that cell phone is handled by the base station, making the connection available to all 5 handsets spread throughout the house; similarly for outgoing calls. And one of our other cell phones also is bluetooth-connected to the base station, allowing it to be used to make calls should we want to keep the "main" cell phone free for whatever reason (one of the two can use the home system at a time, though both are bluetooth-connected to it until it is in use).

This works real well; we put the two cell phones in the location in the house with the best cell reception (3+ bars) and they can easily connect to the base station via bluetooth - we come home, our cell phones automatically connect to the base station, we put them down on a side table upstairs and don't pick them up again until we leave the house.

The only "problem" we've seen with this is the extended minutes that the main cell phone gets - it's REAL convenient to be able to make/take calls just about anywhere in the house via the remote handsets, including in the basement, to the point that we find our phone use has gone up quite a bit!

Same. We only got it because the package from Comcast was cheaper with than without. I don't know it, don't give it out and don't answer it because the only people that have it are telemarketers.

No...we got rid of it about 5 years ago, and don't miss it at all. The only people who called us on it were telemarketers.

Nope, graduated from college and never bothered to get one. My cell is always next to me; there didn't seem to be a point.

Yes--the old timey kind that are plugged right into the wall--not handhelds on electric bases. Prefer the quality and plan to always have one.

The "time lag" thing that occurs with cell phones bugs me. I never know if the person has finished what they were saying and are waiting for me to say something or is the call cutting in and out and dropping words. I kind of end up talking over people. I don't mean to, but it's the time lag thing.

Yes, I still question the safety of putting a cell phone to my ear a lot. What can I say? I talk on the phone to my mom often. I also prefer the better quality of the landline, and I spend a lot of time at home. I really don't use my cell much.
