Could somebody please recommend good local movers which are not too expensive?

My friend is moving from Arlington to DC. There will be couple friends helping, but she needs extra help, as well. She got a quote which was quite high and is looking for more ideas. Thanks!

With moving companies, you get what you pay for. The highly recommended companies are also the most expensive.

Unless it's your buddies, brothers, or cousins, you are not likely to get a great deal and great service.

I'd recommend searching for similar threads. I think I have posted my recommendation (Reputation Movers) 2 or 3 times in this forum already.

Yes there are a couple of recent threads. Campbell has also been recommended (including by me)

Used Town and Country Movers for a move from NOVA to SC last week - they're local to MD though I believe - EXCELLENT.

Not the cheapest but around mid-range in the quotes we got. They're on point and their labor/staff were excellent.
