Is there any place around the NoVA area that you can go and cut down your own tree? Back on Long Island, there were a bunch of farms out on the east end that you paid one price and they let you pick out and cut down your own tree.

There's a whole national organization that keeps track of such things. Their listing for NoVa and vicinity is below...includes related places as well, but many cut-your-own's too....

Where in Northern Virginia to find choose-and-cut Christmas tree farms, pre-cut trees, stands, sleigh rides, hay rides and related winter events and fun!

We go to one on Gum Springs Road (loudoun county off of rt 50) every year. They always have nice trees and don't make you drag the thing back to pay for it. They come around with tractor and pick you up. There are 3 or 4 of them right in the same area, so you'll definitely find yours.

Merry Christmas!

I think there's a place right next to Tarara Winery.
