The other nigh i was coming from manasass to alexandria on i 95. I was stuck in construction for almost an hour and had to go to the bathroom reall bad. when i got out of the construction i took off rather quickly and didn't even realize i was doing over 100. next thing i know i was being pulled over by a state trooper for doing 107 mph. I never have gone over 100 mph before and couldn't believe it. i know needing to go to the bathroom is not an excuse for that speed and im really sorry i wasn't paying attention to my speedometer. Now Im worried Im going to go to jail. Im also an emigrant and scared of loosing my green card. is there any thing i can do to avoid losing my green card and going to jail? and information helps

Hire an attorney. Nothing else we say will matter at this point.

Just wondering, as a former LEO, would a bigger fine come from reckless driving or just stopping on the side of the road and letting "the offending substance" out?

I seconded Bigfoot's post. Get an attorney.

Your "I didn't realize I was going 100mph" doesn't fly with me, and I doubt it will fly with a judge. That is excessively speeding. More so than the typical 10-15mph over the limit most of us go.

That's totally insane. How couldn't you "notice" that you were going that fast? You could have killed
an innocent family with your totally irresponsible driving. You should never drive a car again.

Yeah you were better off just going to the bathroom on yourself in the car and cleaning it later.

Depends on how smart the person is. I caught many people urinating in public but if they were in a position where no one could see anything I'd just warn them. Do it in plain sight of everyone and it can be a hefty fine although few judges or prosecutors go for more than a smaller fine.

How can you not notice you're going 107 mph? All the cars around you going more than 30 mph slower than you weren't a clue? What does that tell us of you as a driver? This is the text book definition of reckless driving.

And, these days a listing in the sex offender registry for indecent exposure...

I am trying to imagine where this was and it makes no sense. Manassas is nowhere near 95.
