How much are you paying for Cox internet alone (no bundle). It seems to me that they increase their price every few months.

Internet alone is very expensive on all providers and yes they continually raise the price because they want you to have a cable box so you can make impulse on demand purchases.

For example with FIOS internet only is like $85 /month, but bundle it with local channels only (no box required) and it goes down to $55 (including the cost of the local channels).

So if you want to cut the price of your internet try bundling it with the cheapest TV package or switch providers (if possible). Internet only will never be cheap.

People with internet only will all be paying similar prices, unless they are on some sort of new customer deal.

I used to live somewhere else and pay $20 to $25 per month for internet.

I am with Cox, they increase it from like $25 to now $60!

I want to go somewhere else, but they are all bundle deals or at very similar price.

Are there any out there with the low price Cox provide to new customers, so I can switch there for year and come back to Cox and Cox will give me new customer rate of $35?

I'm "bundled", and it's WAAAY too much...but Fios is more! I have to call every year and negotiate a new pricing structure. My last increase was to $180+, but we got a new "promotion" so I'm paying #160+ for the next year. Sucks.

They sent a flyer in the mail that the internet price was $30 but only for first twelve months, then it jumps to $69/month. Are you sure you're not "expiring" from a sweet initial pricing plan?

Yes, that's what happened.

They offered me $30 per month for a year, the every couple of month increase by $5 or $10, and before I know it, it's $60 now and it might be keep going up. What can I do?

Can you just keep jumping from one great initial deal to the next or are you stuck in a multi- year agreement? And that price is the lowest speed internet. Can you even stream videos?

I am with Cox now. Where can I jump to get to a deal that's less than $50?
