I'm sure that lifestyle is the case for many skilled blue-collars.

Do you have any added insight into the specific topic of blue-collar workers in the NoVA region? Your posting history suggests you are not from here.

All of your posts are accurate; but you seem to fall into the "living outside of the NoVA immediate area" that this thread is indicating. I believe this thread is trying to discuss those blue-collar workers (and their challenges) who live in the immediate area.

It benefits blue- collar workers to be around their white- collar counterparts because most highly educated high salary workers appreciate and seek out the specialized skills of tradesmen when their home needs a repair or improvement.

When I was with Audi those customers were actually interested in their cars, would come out and talk with you, could afford the services and repairs, and really were pretty decent people, we had some of those customers bring us bottles of Kentucky Bourbon, bring us steaks, it was great.

When I worked for Chevrolet their customers always wanted to argue, ***** a service takes too long, how come its not under warranty, you're just trying to rip me off, the list goes on and on.

Blue- collar people have educations as well, it take takes at least 4- 6 years of apprenticeship to become a journeymen then another 3- 5 to be a master, believe it or not it takes education and training to become a plumber as well, white- collar and blue- collar biggest difference is one gets dirty and the other does not, either is fine, do what you like and what can afford you a decent living.
