She did not go because she did not want to be the main attraction in the circus atmosphere that was bound to result. Too bad, seems town hall meetings -- a tradition dating back hundreds of years -- may become a thing of the past.

I'm sure she would love to go to a town hall with 100% quiet republicans. Of course demos have the right to show up and ask questions too. The problem is that it is not being done respectively as of late - by both sides. I don't think politicians mind being questioned, but if the end result is people trying to yell over you, yelling insults at you, and making a ton of noise in general why would you go?

Politicians don't particularly care about people who are never going to vote for them which these town halls seem to be skewing heavily towards as of late. Also it's not an election year. This last one she said she had a prior engagement and was never expected to show up anyway.

I agree she should hold a Town Hall but looks like she's not the only one:

They should all hold meetings. But, it should not come as surprise that the current tactic of disrupting town meetings, as opposed to showing up to express your views like a civilized person, is disrupting the democratic process everywhere in the country, against everyone's interests.

She has more Muslim-Americans in her district than any other Republican in America and her district swung heavily against Republicans in 16. Shes terrified and probably wishes Hillary Clinton won.

She might be THE top target in 2018.

Link the statistic about Muslims in her district, please.

Parts of Minnesota, Michigan have huge populations. Dearborn has, or at least did have, the largest Muslim population outside of the Middle East a few years ago. Of course, now with the huge influx into Europe that may have changed.
