You may want to repost this in Virginia as this is not located in NOVA. I cannot speak for the quality of the homes as I do not live there but I saw these being built when I was out there all the time for work. I do not believe racial issues are the problem but the Virginia board is a better one to ask. I'd vote commute although it does depend on where people need to drive. But the interchange can be a real PITA, especially in the afternoon commute. Truck traffic really slows things down in this area so beware of that. If you turn right out of Snowden you quickly head into nice countryside. But that traffic can be problematic on the I-81 side.
