I see many posts on her for potential newbies concerned that Northern Virginia schools on Great Schools rank bad. This is because Great Schools ranking uses COMMON CORE testing. We DO NOT USE Common Core in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Virginia uses STANDARDS OF LEARNING known as SOL. Virginia has the best schools in the country. Attached is the definition of CC, SOL and how they are different.
