Car Wash - Self Serve/Drive Through (Richmond, Alexandria: live in, cost)

We are new to the area and are looking for a self service coin operated or BRUSHLESS drive through car wash near Purcellville/Philomont/Bluemont area. The only one I found is in Purcellville and it has brushes and a 'crew' to dry your vehicle when done. I prefer that no one touch the vehicle to avoid scratches, etc.

I can't help in the Purcellville/Philomont/Bluemont areas- but since those areas a very small cities/towns and otherwise rural your options will be quite limited.

There is a nice car wash on route 7 near interstate 81. The Valley Car Wash. It is has several self serve bays [and a auto wash with brushes too.] https://myvalleycarwash.com/

In the Leesburg area there are two brushless car washes. The first is at the Shell gas station on Edwards Ferry across from Costco and Target. The second is the Exon gas station on Catoctin Circle across from the the Leesburg Station Auto Wash. There is also a self serve carwash EZ Car Wash located on First Street behind the Leesburg Post Office.

Northern VA oddly does not have any of the coin operating ones, but plenty of gas stations have the touchless ones that don't use brushes. You might find coin ones further west.

Thanks for reminding me to get a car wash! I just drove down to my usual self-service hand-wand car wash. It cost me three dollars in quarters (their paper bill handler can be temperamental at times.) For anyone interested because this is so ever so much cheaper than the automated washes, if you live in the Alexandria area, it's the Shell station car wash at 7303 Richmond Highway, next to the Sea Boil Crab House.
