I am in the market for a townhome in the next few months. Now I am mainly doing a bit research here and there. In your opinion, which communities is better and why: South Riding, Brambleton or Stone Ridge?

Happy 4th of july everyone!

Don't know much about SOuth Riding and Stone RIdge, but Brambleton is very nice with a good variety of shopping and a multi-plex. We live in Ashburn and if it weren't so far out we would have moved there. AND prices are very good right now!

Thanks twinmma! I did tour the area and I love Ashburn as well. I am at the stage of contacting and choosing a realtor at the moment. But soon, I
will need to tell him/her which area is my first choice, 2nd choice etc.

How is the traffic from Ashburn to Reston?

Can't give you real traffic info as I haven't driven to Reston during Rush Hour. My husband commutes to Tysons and it takes him 45 minutes and Reston is before Tysons...My guess is half an hour. Now we went to Reston the other day around 10am and we got there in about 20 minutes, but no traffic.

Remember to take into consideration the cost of tolls (the Greenway is especially pricey) when commuting.

Yes, tolls can be pricey. We don't take the greenway, however. (At least not the expensive part which is here in Ashburn...my husband gets on where is is like 50 cents)
