Ok! I know that this area should be a vibrant and multi-ethnic area. Where o where, can I find tamales for Christmas Eve? Fairfax, Alexandria, Burke or Woodbridge, even Manassas.

Any thoughts?

I'm pretty sure any El Salvadorian joint or South American restaurant for that matter has them.

I'm used to the Mexican style ones and I haven't seen any out here-looks like everyone is Central American and I don't know what their's are like...

I'd give the place right next door to the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly a try for tamales. I'm no tamale expert but I did like them.

The tamales I've had in Woodbridge have been very similar to Mexican tamales. Dona Azucena in Woodbridge (also in Fairfax, I believe) has very good ones (though only offered in chicken). They might do pork as a special order if called.
