Hi all,

where is the best place to get good deals on washer and dryers? Are there any places in virginia, other than the regular retail stores, like sears, lowes or home depot where i cld find a good price.

Thank you.

In the USPS, change of address kit, there is a 10% off your bill at Lowe's. I got a Maytag Washer for 360+tax+free delivery (already got rebate). The Maytag Gas Dryer was 430. So brand new Maytag w&D for less than 800. Can't beat it. Spend 20 extra and get the braided hoses. They should be replaced every five years anyway.

Costco has good deals, but they carry the more expensive ones and the selection is very limited.

I got my appliances from Lowes when they had the 10% off for energy star products, used the 10% off coupon in addition (got it when changed our address at usps) plus they gave me mail-in rebate for the delivery. Look out for deals like that.

I am very happy with the LG washer/dryer we got at Home Depot. There is always some kind of deal going on.

Not sure where you live, but Potomac Mills Mall has a Sears center in it. I was in there briefly and they have discounted models

Check eBay for coupons good at places like Home Depot and Lowes. You might have to pay a couple bucks to buy the coupon, but it's worth it to get hundreds of dollars off the price of an appliance.

We bought a front loading washer years ago and really like it. The prices have really come down, so you might want to consider one.
