So.... did you let her in line in front of you? I usually just have one person in front of me, so if you'd let her go ahead of you she would have been out the door in a few seconds.

I only had one item, also, and was agreeing with her. I would have had several, but the produce section was stinking so I just bought my 2.5 pounds of almonds.

I prefer Coke products and it looks like Costco may stop carrying them:

The Associated Press: Costco nixes Coke products over pricing dispute

Plus, I like to buy soda in glass bottles. Between the two, I have only been able to buy Coke in glass at Sam's.

They are at Giant too, but so much cheaper at Sam's. The Mexican Cokes, made w/ cane sugar instead of corn syrup are good to get too from the Hispanic markets.

Costco, all the way! It treats its employees a hell of a lot better than that Walmart/Sams monstrosity. It is also one of the few retailers that will test its meat for bacterial contamination before grinding it up for hamburgers (this was reported a few weeks ago in either the Washington Post or New York Times, I forget which).

Since Wal-Mart is such an evil corporate entity that has been less than kind to both its workforce and to the nation as a whole I must go with Costco here. I was never a big fan of Sam's Club. The one back in Wilkes-Barre, PA always felt like a dungeon, many of the employees were impolite (and could you truly blame them?), and a lot of my fellow clientele weren't exactly the creme-de-la-creme (i.e. my shopping experience becomes miserable when I have to see unwed mothers arguing with their "baby daddies" on their cell phones as their child screams in the cart).

I've never been to a Costco before, but there's no possible way they could be any worse than Wal-Mart.

You should go a to Costco if you've never been there before. It's much more livelier than Sam's or BJ's club.
