I go to Burke Community Church and it's awesome. Great music, diversity and plenty of ministries. We're growing by leaps and bounds.

What part of NOVA? Big area. Manassas Baptist at the intersection of Sudley Rd and Stonewall Rd in Manassas is a very active church in the community. Very active in youth activities and probably what you are looking for.

Try Chantilly Bible Church. They have very solid Bible teaching. You will definitely grow in your faith walk. The Pastoral Staff is incredible, and cares deeply for it's flock. I have been attending for over 5 years, and CBC is almost 20 miles from my home.

The one COMPLETELY positive thing that I've encountered here in NoVA is my church, First Assembly of God in Alexandria. Just the right size, just the perfect diversity, and I'm African American too. It is Assembly of God based but my mother was raised deep south Southern Baptist and the Assembly of God denomination has been a good landing place for her.

There is a primarily AA Baptist church in Vienna, if that would fit your bill. I haven't been to services, but my husband took the kids to the church carnival and he said everyone was tremendously friendly and welcoming.
