This is a strange question but we recently moved to Reston and where I came from, we had a fabulous little store that carried things like wheat kernels, cornmeal, all kinds of flour, etc in bulk and the prices were great. I'm wondering if there is anything like that around Reston. Costco is great for more mainstream items but for those of us who like to grind our own wheat and bake our own bread (on the cheap), Costco doesn't quite cut it.

An alternative would be to order on-line from King Arthur up in VT.

The Bethesda Co-op might work. It's not far off the Beltway in the Cabin John area of Maryland.

If you are just looking for certain items such as whole wheat berries to make sprouted wheat flour, try contact the Weston Price Foundation at Reston. You may join with them to buy in bulk and share.
