I was wondering if anyone had any info about the undergraduate marine biology program? I've heard so many mixed reviews about the school as a whole but a lot have said that certain fields within the school are great. I would most likely want to study tropical ecosystems so I'm trying to jusitfy where to go to school between Hawaii and California (where I'm located now). Any information would be greatly appreciated. And ugh of course I just spelled Manoa wrong.

Most of that curriculum is run out of the facilities on Coconut Island, in Kaneohe Bay. Here is their web site:
Haha thanks for the information, it is very helpful . Do you know if it's regarded as one of the better graduate schools in the marine biology field? (I'm trying to decide to do undergrad in California, then perhaps doing graduate work in HI).
I can understand your passion for tropical ecology. I am earning a degree in Environmental Science and Technology: Natural Resource Management at the University of Maryland. I took the Tropical Ecology class and we went to Belize for two weeks. Unreal. That's what sparked my interest in pursuing work in Hawaii rather than work in the desert or continental zones. Already diving as a hobby I decided to add it as part of my career and currently am an aquarium tech at the national aquarium. Tropical is the way to go.
