Aloha!

How easy is it to get around Oahu without a car? I'm going to be in Waikiki for 10 nights (9th - 19th) and would prefer not to rent a car, but would really like to get to the North Shore for the Pipe Masters. I was looking at The Bus schedules and it looks like it would be a 3 hr trip? That might be a bit much. Are there shuttles that run to the NS from either Waikiki or downtown Honolulu?

Thanks.

TheBus is the way to go. It is one of the best Bus systems in the country. Route 52 will get you from AlaMoana to the North Shore in about two hours.
