hi me and my husband are moving to hawaii in a few months for the military. we are currently in nc and i was wondering the price difference. at a typical walmart here a loaf of bread store brand is 88 cents and eggs about 1 dollar and a gallon of milk 3.20 or so i just used basic items to compare. i was wondering how much they run there. also gas prices and anything else anyone can tell me. just want to know before i get there and freak out when i notice the difference since everyone says it's more expensive. thanks in advance. oh moving to schofield barracks area in oahu.

Milk was around 5.50-7 a gallon when I saw (even at walmart) Don't recall bread or eggs. Cereal ranged from $2 - $9 a box

we do a lot of bulk shopping at sam's club. we shop at walmart, too. their prices are lower than long's drugs and other markets. i don't know, maybe it all evens out if you consider the amount you pay for gas to get where you'd be going?
