Hi Everybody!

I'll be heading to Waikiki for the Dental Convention next week with my office and we are so ready for this trip! We've got 4 days to enjoy and 3 days to sit in class. I'm looking forward to everything about this trip - except the 5 hour flight over nothin' but water - eeeek!

I'm taking my partner and we want to see what Waikiki has to offer for gay nightlife. I've done my research and have heard a lot about "Hula's". We'll definitely go there since we're staying at the Hotel Renew.

I've recently dug up something about a place called "Michangelo" at Eaton Square (444 Hobron lane) but the details are sketchy. Does anyone know what it's like or even if it's still open? My source might be a bit old ..?

Is there still a gay bar in Chinatown called "Kane'ala's" at 10 N. Hotel St.? I saw something about it being a bit scarey after dark. Confirmation?

Any other details about gay clubs or gay friendly places to dine/drink/shop will be appreciated.

I am so ready to get out of North Carolina and feel the sand between my toes and feel the pacific ocean breeze ...

Thanks!

_Dale

You might check out the Honolulu Weekly Honolulu Weekly

Under "Entertainment -> Calendar" there's a "Gay" section with events. You should be able to find a paper copy of the paper when you're in town, or check online. There might be a cool event while you're here.
