How is the job market there? I was told by my friend in so. fla that Ocala is a hot new area people are moving to. Thanks!

Check out Ocala4Sale. They have job listings there. Unfortunately the recent news there hasn't been too encouraging. They had a plant that was sold and sounds like it'll be closing down. It employed 500 people so that will not help the economy. Also, there was a recent article that said they were laying off construction workers in the area.

Don't make it sound all bad! I'm moving there this July, and both my husband and I found jobs easily- he's an electrician, and I'm a teacher.

I have not seen a lot of jobs here, other than the county needed to fill 250 education slots.

Good Luck... it is not so bad, just not a high paying area at all.

Yes, the salary isn't quite what I'm used to here in NJ, but everybody's got to start somewhere. That being the case, it may as well be someplace where you like it... and NJ is basically the armpit of America.

hahaha I call Ohio the Armpit of it all. LOL

Teaching jobs pay far more than most of the jobs in the area, and your profession (in my eyes) is so very important! I know you will like it here!
