I lived in the NE section of Ocala years ago and really loved it. When I was in the area a couple of years ago it appeared to have gone downhill a bit with some empty townhome units in the area off NE 36th. Not sure if it was a temporary situation or if this has become a somewhat undesirable area? I would appreciate input from anyone familiar with the area since I'm currently considering returning to Ocala. The area I'm referring to is off Silver Springs Boulevard at NE 36th, not far from KMart and the empty (potentially crime ridden?) townhome area was off of NE 36th near NE 20th Place. We had no issues while we lived there and were very comfortable there, but would like an update on crime, etc. Hoping for good feedback since we really loved it there and would like to consider coming back. Thanks for any help.

I know where you are refering too, But I cant think of any crime in the area. I am pretty sure it is still a good place. Crime really has not crossed NE 25th st.
